A 31 year old French politician, Sarah Knafo, is becoming quite known. The far right politician is a member of Eric Zemmour’s Reconquest party. Apart from her love of political views, Knafo is also famous for her love of cryptocurrency, more specifically Bitcoin.
What makes Knafo unique is mixing old French values with some new tech ideas, of which cryptocurrency is number one. In addition, she believes that the financial system can change with the help of new technologies and she supports the use of Bitcoin as a way of replacing old banking methods. Knafo even talked to Bitcoin billionaire Michael Saylor about the future of crypto in France.
She is not like other far right leaders in France, such as Marine Le Pen, politically. Rather than the usual French welfare systems, Knafo is much more concerned with technology and business. She is also influenced by American politics, especially the ideas of former U.S. President Donald Trump. She knew Donald Trump more closely than anyone suggested by her invitation to Knafo and Zemmour to Trump’s 2021 inauguration.
Though her support for free speech, without any censorship, has made her popular among people in agreement with these ideas, having some who sign up against sharing news leaves her with less credibility. And she wants to connect the Reconquest party with American political movements, such as Trump’s techno conservatism. Although her ideas are new in France, Knafo is determined to have a big impact on politics.
